Couples looking for relaxation
The hotel was beautiful and clean and we thoroughly enjoyed the delicious Japanese breakfast and dinner with a wide variety of dishes with amazing flavors. The public outdoor onsen was relaxing and had a fine view I was like I was on top of the world.
It wasn't cheap but worth it for the experience we had.

The onsen experience was something I
Had looked forward to, and it lived up to my expectations. The private onsen on the rooftop offered fine views of the mountains. The room was spacious and comfortable, but I felt that communication about the check-in hours could have been clearer.

Hatago Kintoen offers an interesting dining experience and the staff were notably helpful . I appreciated the unique ambiance and the attention to detail in the service provided. The coffee provided in the lounge was a nice touch, even though it was self-served. It added a casual, cute feel to the space.
The views from the room were obscured by wooden panels, which significantly detracted from the experience.

Just an optimal selection for a short staycation in Hakone with extraordinarily good value for money. Enjoyed the complimentary coffee lounge that offered a nice casual vibe with its self-serve setup. Be ready for some noise from other rooms at night.

The Japanese-style room was cozy and spacious, perfect for a relaxing stay. I loved the view of the nearby forest and mountains, and sipping green tea while soaking it in. The room felt traditional, but it was comfortable enough for a restful night. Just keep in mind, the somewhat bare walls might not vibe with everyone.
